Little Angels is involved with various activities, all aimed at making a positive difference to as many lives as possible in needy Western Cape communities. Whilst our main focus is to care for children, we also offer support to moms and siblings. Many children are cared for in our family home and we also aid others in their own homes or projects. We empower them to help themselves and we find assistance for them according to their needs. We operate a full time Help Centre in order to assist others.
Were it not for the wonderful support of our donors and sponsors, we just would not be able to achieve any of our goals or successes. We are truly grateful to folk such as yourselves, who help us to make a difference in the lives of the little ones, for whom we care. We are not an orphanage, nor an institution - our goal is to help the babies, regardless of their background, religious or cultural persuasions, to pass through quickly, so that they may be placed in their own "forever family" as soon as possible. We always keep space open for emergency placements, which are frequent. We attend to all their medical, physical, spiritual and educational needs whilst they are with us, and have their HIV tests done as soon as possible. Fortunately some children can be placed back in their families and the trend, of late, is that we support more and more children in their own communities, rather than in our own home. Our Mission Statement is simple . . . . To love and care for all God's children and provide a safe, stable family environment, in which they may be nurtured, to grow and learn that home is where the heart is. Dear Soul All of us here at Little Angels wish to extend our most heartfelt thanks, and appreciation, for your amazing support spanning almost 5 years. It is only with the help of caring folk such as yourself, that we are able to continue our work amongst the many destitute folk in and around the Western Cape province of South Africa. Over the years you have enabled us to purchase much needed baby feeds and formulae, clothing for babies and small children, medicines and vitamin supplements and, with the help of your parents last year, we were able to distribute gift and food parcels. Whilst it is probably difficult for many people in Europe to comprehend, we are dealing with people around us in South Africa, who are absolutely penniless. They have little or no clothing and their living conditions are of the worst imaginable. The food they manage to get hold of is of the most basic and, often, bad. Hence many of them are riddled with all sorts of deseases. Hence, with your kind help, we support many soup kitchens and feeding schemes, throughout the Cape Flats and all along the West Coast of the Western Cape. These facilities ensure that people, especially babies and small children, get at least one wholesome meal a day. Against this background, we at Little Angels, count ourselves blessed and marvel at the kindess and caring which is demonstrated to us from folk who are so far away from us.
