A toddlers' playgroup, peuterspeelzaal, is a place where young children from 2.5 to 4 years of age can play in a group a number of mornings or afternoons per week. This happens under the supervision of a qualified crèche assistant (leidster) who works together with unqualified support staff such as parents who help out, students who are doing work experience etc. Toddlers will be offered different activities both at an individual as well as group level. Ask for an appointment to go and have a look around the ones you are interested in and ask them what kind of activities they organise.
